However before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of unrooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.

* This procedure will not work for AT&T and Verizon devices.

  1. Make sure you have installed the LG ADB driver on your PC before proceeding.
  2. Download the stock firmware ( Select the appropriate firmware base on your device’s model ) , LG Mobile Support Tool ( Install it to your PC ) as well as FlashTool to your PC.
  3. Turn off the LG G2.
  4. Connect the LG G2 to your PC using a USB cable while pressing the Volume Up button at the same time. This will boot the device into Download mode.
  5. Extract the FlashTool to your desktop.
  6. From the extracted folder, double-click on the UpTestEX.exe.
  7. From the pop-up window, make sure you have selected the right options as listed below :
    1. Type – 3GQCT
    2. PhoneMode – DIAG
    3. Select KDZ file – select the .kdz file that you have downloaded earlier on.
  8. Click on Normal web upgrade test.
  9. Click on Upgrade Start.
  10. Select Republic of Korea and English ( For the Country and Language pop-up window )
  11. Click on OK.
  12. Once done, turn off the LG G2.

I was trying to do all these tasks but never had the guts to do such complicated procedures. My LG G2 is rooted on Jelly bean and now updated to Kitkat still rooted. And i was planning to unroot it, i was able to unroot it only using LG Mobile Support Tool. And out of nowhere, my LG G2 was unrooted. How to do it:
1. Install LG Mobile Support Tools (download the latest one), dont forget to install the LG USB Driver first.
2. Run LG Mobile Support Tools, then select your country origin, Option > Country & Language.
3. After done, connect your LG G2 to the PC using USB cable. Once you connect it, it will show you the Software Version.
4. Then, Options>Upgrade Recovery, then the application will automatically start to analyze your mobile phone, and start to download approximately 1.6GB.
5. Then after finish downloading. Restart your mobile.

I test with my Voodoo application for root, the rooted has been unchecked.

Done. Hope this work for you too. No need to worry about your data, it will not harm your data or your LG.

Thanks.
